Green Village is a four-house project built in modern style. The project's goal was to create energy-saving family homes without compromising on the building's design. We achieved this goal by changing our usual building technics, materials, design, and technology approaches. For example, instead of building the houses entirely on top of the ground, we decided to embed them into the ground partially. By using thick, high-quality concrete walls and NIBE's advanced heating system, we managed to reduce the ecological and economic impact of keeping these houses warm. Overall the project was highly successful, and today's owners use the buildings as all-year homes and holiday cottages.
